We accept direct payments and funding from local councils as well as self-funding. We are regularly inspected by CQC and have received a 5 star rating for the past six years from the RDB Inspectors.

We are registered for 17 beds with the Care Quality Commission. RoughLee Home has proudly been open for 41 years, providing a warm, welcoming environment and quality care for our residents throughout the decades.

Quality Care

The home was built on the site where Rough Lee maternity hospital had been. The first stone was laid by Lady Clitheroe in November 1982. The building as a home was opened in January 1984.
